Information Collection and Use

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.

Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use the website.

From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of our website.

Information about You

To register an account with the website, we only ask for your credentials.

In order to join any of the event communities on our website, additional information may be required, depending on the requirements of the event organizer. This usually includes a valid email address and your name in order to identify you at the event site and to be able to contact you.

When signing up or attending an event, we collect additional information relevant for the event organizers to manage the event, such as when you signed up or checked in.

Retention and Deletion

You can send an email to info@doorkeeper.jp to request the deletion of your personal data. Upon your request, we will deactivate your account and remove your personally identifiable information from our active databases. Upon our receipt of your request, we will deactivate your account and remove your personally identifiable information as soon as reasonably possible. Nonetheless, we will retain, in our files, information you may have requested us to remove if, in our discretion, retention of the information is necessary to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems or to enforce the Terms of Service. Furthermore, your information is never completely removed from our databases due to technical and legal constraints (for example, we will not remove your information from our back up storage).

Information Sharing

With the event organizers of any event community you joined, we share the following information: the personal information you provided to us; your intent to attend an event; whether or not you attended (if the event organizers use our service for check in). Each event community may have its own Event Community Privacy Policy which governs their use of this information.

Further, we may disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect our rights or property.

Besides the points given here, we will not disclose your personal information.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, a change notice will be published on the website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
